31 Daily Affirmations to Improve Your Mindset

Hey Lovelies,

The other day I was thinking about how many of us will often talk to our friends or even perfect strangers better than we talk to ourselves.

For many of us, that voice inside our head is a negative one that doesn’t allow us to grow and prosper but instead tells us that we’re not good enough, strong enough, pretty enough, etc. to have what we want.

Even if this negative self-talk is all in our head it can have a detrimental effect on how we behave and feel about ourselves.

When you have negative thoughts about yourself that toxic energy doesn’t only affect you but those who you love.

"Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results."

Albert Einstein

How can we change what’s not working in our life if we don’t start by changing our mindset?

Positive affirmations are statements that can help you to challenge and overcome self-sabotaging and negative thoughts.

When repeated on a daily basis, these affirmations can make you believe in yourself so you can start to make positive changes in your life.

So I‘ve taken some time to practice positive daily affirmations for 31 days.

Every morning before I began my day, I would read a positive affirmation and speak it aloud to encourage myself.

Some days I would say it in the mirror, other days I would record the affirmation on my phone, however, you chose to speak positively about yourself to make sure you believe every word.

Some of you that have been following me on social media may have noticed these affirmations pop up on my story.

This was my way of holding myself accountable because it’s not always easy to have positive thoughts all on your own.

Using the app ThinkUp that I had heard about on the podcast Therapy For Black Girls allowed me to stop limiting my abilities and alter the negative perception of myself.

I was able to stay consistent with these affirmations and gain more confidence and control over my mindset to enact positive change.

Whoa! Such wonderful thoughts! I love the clarity in your mind and the way you have explained the positive affirmations. Its a funny thing, we all know that these things are good, these things will help us in life, yet we need someone to give us an affirmation on the same. Its like you have etched the thoughts strongly further so that they become indelible.

"I am human and therefore make mistakes. I can see them as lessons." True that. Of course so. So excuse me if I am not perfect, God has made me that way, and I am proud of it.

"I belong in any room I walk into." Yes, please. I make myself so powerful, so knowledgeable,…
